Shinto priests created the first Japanese gardens to help them communicate better with the gods. Over time, regular Japanese citizens incorporated these gardens into their own homes. Today, these gardens have become an important part of Japanese culture, helping them commune with nature and obtain tranquility in their day-to-day lives. Come celebrate this beautiful part of the Japanese culture at the Yume Tucson Anniversary Festival 2023 this Saturday, April 1st.

Yume Tucson Anniversary Festival 2023
Taiko drummers entertain all visitors at the Yume Japanese Gardens festival. Plus, you will be treated to the art of kamishibai storytelling. This uses colorful picture cards to tell traditional Japanese stories. Learn the art of ikebana flower arranging and Japanese crafts. And that's just the beginning.
Another important part of Japanese culture is its food. Try something from the Takoyaki Balls food truck. Or purchase a snack and drink from the gardens as well.
