2020 feels like it has gone on forever and flew by in the blink of an eye all at the same time. October starts in just two days! The global pandemic put restrictions on how we live our everyday lives. But it did not stop us from living. We recently got to enjoy live concerts again. (October 1st marks the last concert of the Tucson Drive-In Concert Series at the Gaslight Music Hall, by the way). Now, restaurants may serve diners both inside and outside their facilities. That means that Sonoran Restaurant Week 2020 in Tucson is a go beginning this Friday, October 2nd.

Visit your favorite Tucson restaurant or try out a new one during Sonoran Restaurant Week 2020 and help feed local men, women, and children through the Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona. Reservations highly recommended.

Sonoran Restaurant Week 2020

Search Tucson homes for saleLast year's inaugural event was so successful that organizers decided to host another Sonoran Restaurant Week this year. Several of our best local restaurants put together special menus specifically for the event. They range from $25 to $35 per person. For this year's event, though, diners get to choose between dine-in and take out. If you decide to dine in, contact the restaurant you wish to visit well ahead of time to see about making a reservation. Government restrictions put a limit on how many diners each restaurant can accommodate inside. Plus, Restaurant Week usually makes things a bit busier than normal.

A portion of the proceeds from each meal benefits the Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona. Their programs provide after school meals and snacks as well as a backpack program for kids, community meals, emergency food boxes for low-income households, regular meals to low income senior citizens, bringing healthy food to stock school pantries, and much, much more. If you'd like to donate money to help the food bank continue providing these invaluable programs to the community, please visit the Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona's website here.
